FDT Bureau

Ikea, the Swedish omnichannel home furnishings retailer, recently announced the launch of its ecommerce delivery services to thousands of pin codes across 62 districts in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This expansion comes as a response to the increasing demand and enthusiasm from customers in nearby cities and towns who visit Ikea stores. Here is a detailed report on FURNITURE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (FDT).

Reportedly, customers can easily explore Ikea’s app and website, which offer home-inspiration designs, product feeds, ratings, reviews and more, all aimed at creating a better life at home. They can take advantage of special discounts by signing up as Ikea Family members and access services such as kitchen planning, interior design, personal shopping and more, from the comfort of their homes through the website's customer service section.

Ikea’s Life at Home report highlighted the need for better storage solutions and emphasis on quality sleep in Indian households. Currently, 72 per cent of customer orders in existing markets are fulfilled via electric vehicles. With this expansion, Ikea aims to enhance its supply chain capabilities, furthering its commitment to sustainability.
