Minimal, Experimental Chair by Lotto | Canti

FDT Bureau

Lotto studio has designed a minimal chair Canti which explores the creative avenues ranging from industrial design to interior and bespoke furniture. Designed by Mirko Ihrig and Casey Lewis, Canti’s design originates from the thought of constructing a chair from wood when seen as an industrial material. Know more about it on FURNITURE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (FDT).

Canti chair recontextualises the object which would otherwise be ignored within its context. The interpretation of the object through the chair highlights the qualities of cantilevered construction which are made possible with the help of solid timber planks. Basic curved carving is created to offer comfort on its bare structure.
