In order to beat coronavirus and insure to safeguard of public, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ordered closure of various types of shops including furniture showrooms in the city until further orders. The BMC has directed the Zonal Deputy Commissioners of respective areas to ensure closing of such shops, stores and godowns in which large numbers of people and customers gather in.
According to a media report, Shops selling food items such as groceries, vegetables, meat, chicken, egg and other essential daily need items would have to maintain social distancing of two meters among the customers and staffs of the shops as well.
As per order, all standalone restaurants, bars, coffee shops, canteens, eateries of all kinds where a large number of people dine and congregate would remain closed, reported dailypioneer.
