In an exclusive interview with FURNITURE DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY (FDT) Magazine, Binoy Varghese, Co-founder and Business Head of MC Luxury, shares insights into the brand’s journey, offerings, and its commitment to providing luxury building products to the high-end market in Bangalore. MC Luxury, a new vertical of Maruti Ceramics, aims to fill the void in the super-luxury bathroom fixtures and surfaces sector, offering designers and high-net-worth clients an array of exclusive international brands and customized solutions.

COULD YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF AND YOUR BRAND TO OUR READERS?
Binoy: MC Luxury is a new vertical of Maruti Ceramics. Maruti Ceramics, a 35-year-old pioneer in the building products industry based in Bangalore, has ventured into the luxury segment with MC Luxury. We have two showrooms in Bangalore, one in Banaswadi and another one in Indiranagar.
We realized there was a significant gap in the super-luxury and high-end bathroom fixtures and surfaces market, particularly in offerings tailored for designers and high-net-worth clients. To address this, we source the majority of our high-end and exclusive products from the European market, ensuring they meet the unique needs of designers and high-end clients involved in bespoke projects.

WHAT ARE THE KEY PRODUCT CATEGORIES YOU OFFER AT MC LUXURY?
Binoy: We specialize in luxury bathroom fixtures, vanities, mirrors, wooden flooring, special surfaces like micro cement and hay concrete, wallpapers, and wellness products. We work with leading international wellness brands and offer highly customizable bathroom products under our special focus brand view.



WHAT ARE THE LATEST TRENDS YOU’RE OBSERVING IN THE LUXURY MARKET?
Binoy: The key trend in the luxury market today is the demand for unique, one-of-a kind products. Designers and clients are looking for exclusive pieces that aren’t repeated in other projects or seen in their friends’ homes. At MC Luxury, we offer a wide range of products to meet these needs, with a focus on showcasing our products in our experience centers, rather than relying on catalog selling.

CAN YOU NAME A FEW OF THE BRANDS YOU DISPLAY?
Binoy: In the bathroom fixtures segment, we offer high-end brands like Dornbracht, a German brand, and GRAFF, a US brand, as well as Toto, Hansgrohe, Axor. For surfaces, we feature prestigious European brands like Armani, Versace, and Ariostea, along with special surfaces like micro cement and concrete.

Binoy: Like I mentioned earlier, we have two experience centers in Bangalore - one in Banaswadi and another in Indira Nagar. We are also available through our website and all major social media platforms.
