Alankaram’s Kalakriti Collection is a Blend of Rich Colours and Exemplary Finishing

Alankaram recently launched its Kalakriti collection of living room furniture. Kalakriti (meaning a piece of art in Hindi) is conceived to endorse regional craft by designing unique designs, particularly for the living room. The collection comprises Uru chairs and sofa, Baka bench, the Parny and Tulita low-height coffee tables, the Dela teak wood and rattan divider, a pouffe and wall mural. Uru sofa

Meaning wide in Sanskrit, the comfortable wide seating of Uru showcases the beauty of wood and fabric. Crafted in teak, the Uru sofa is designed with delicate brass accents to offset the dark natural teak finish. The three-seater can customised in a range of upholstery and colours, and can be used in hospitality, commercial or residential projects. Dimensions: 1440mm X  710mm X 765mm

Baka

The double-armed settee has curves and chamfered edges that highlight its craftsmanship. The teak frame of the Baka bench encompasses rattan infill in its arms. The bench doubles up as a daybed. Ideal for lobbies, waiting areas and lounges, and can be customised for wood finishes and fabric colours. Dimensions: 1500mm X 675mm X 730mm

Pouffe

 The pouffe ottoman embodies a vintage English pattern, encapsulating its artistic tufted design. It can be customised for colours and sizes. Dimensions: 1300mm X 1300mm X 450mm

Parny

The round, dual-material centre table features a masterful fluted design along its periphery, in a combination of teak and brass. Dimensions: 1500mm X 1500mm X 400mm

Dela

This three-panelled teak and rattan partition unit features a traditional design style. It has a teakwood frame and natural cane infill, and can be customised for sizes. Dimensions: 1660mm X 38mm X 1855mm

Uru lounge chair

An amalgamation of brass accents and designer upholstery makes this luxurious lounge chair a fit for any hospitality, commercial or residential project. The Uru lounge chair is ergonomically designed and has comfortable, wide seating. The chair is customizable for different fabrics and colours. Dimensions: 765mm X 730mm X 750mm

Tulita

The spindly three-legged teak table has a uniform walnut stain, and is available in different sizes and colours. Dimensions: 178mm X 178mm X 1000mm

Mural

The teak wood wall hanging features an abstract composition of geometric shapes. The CNC-cut wooden decorative jali can be customised for size, design and colours.
